Today I get the privilege of speaking to a bunch of kids at the Tallapoosa library. I’m terrified. Huge age range and a bunch of them. I figure the best way is to just do what I do and explain along the way. I really do love telling people about photography and teaching people what I know. Shoot. I’m a huge fan of education in any form. That being neither here nor there… I hope I’m not the most boring thing the kids see this summer.

Meanwhile, now that Westley is well, I have been able to work with C.’s pictures. He’s just such a doll. And his brother, M. is so… boy. If you have a boy about 11 then you know what I mean. It’s an endearing quality. Really. Of course, I’m not much with words (which makes me wonder why I should speak at all) so here’s the pictures.

I totally got this idea form the pre-k teacher’s at Tallapoosa Primary. All credit should go to them. I don’t think it’s quite right yet, but I’m pretty happy with it.

That’s all folks. I have to go make preparations and not get too nervous. Remind me to tell you about the days of my trumpet solos and how sick I used to get as a drum major. I’m a mess. Really.

So we have finally gotten a break from the rain and I start doing what I love again. And of course, Westley kicked the bucket. I really hate computers some days. And, in case you are wondering, it’s a Princess Bride reference; “Good Night, Westley. Good work. Most likely kill you in the morning.” But he has been resurrected and i’m right back in the swing of things.

That being neither here nor there, I got to hang out with E. and her family again. Photographing beautiful babies makes my world sing…

You guys are great! The full session is on my client page…

This ridiculous back and forth weather is going to make me nuts!. Luckily, we had already planned on taking some inside pictures of Eden…and her family. A sweet little girl who knows her mind. And she definitely liked the beautiful cake her mom made her. And to the pictures we go…

Another session to finish when warmer weather returns. I hope it makes up it’s mind soon!

I will be in TN all this next week during the kids Spring Break. I promised them I would be theirs for the week, so no computer. It’s going to be a wonderful visit.

I admit. The last couple of days have put a real damper on my mood. The rain. Customer Service nightmares. Blah blah blah. And this is why I love my job. It’s like being a grandparent without involving my own kids. I get to go play with other kids, give them sweets, lavish attention on them and get them all riled up and send them home.  Hopefully, parents forgive me when they see the end result.

Walker was the medicine I needed for the spring blahs. He loves the outdoors and has an endearing pumpkin grin. And he’s mighty fast for being a week past one year. Between chasing and giggling, I’m surprised I have a steady image. Here’s a little sneak peek…

He’s all boy, in every way.

You need a pick me up? Go outside and play with the kids. They don’t talk about the economy…
